Working For the Weekend...

I heard the song on the commute to work this morning... I thought how true it's become... And I thought to myself... What a sad reflection upon our modern American Society... That the best most Americans have it's to hope and dream for the weekend... Every morning get up... Think to themselves one more day till Friday... That's how millions of people spend their week... Our American dream of get a job and a good education... Has served us so well... I know could I sound more sarcastic...What would our forefathers say that worked long and hard to build our country... I think they would be disgusted with us... That we think it's okay to just blindly accept this... For our lives... It's funny our country fought so hard for our independence... To be trapped by our modern American economy... And the loom of debt from outrageous mortages... To pay for our dreams of a good job and a white picket fence... Trapped for life till 65 if you're lucky... I'm sorry but there's gotta be more to life than that...
