How sad a reflection is this upon our society? Just recently I heard someone on the street with the Sex and the City theme music as their cellphone ringtone. At first I thought it was pretty cool, after all I do like the show. But than I thought about it for a minute or two. Has our society, or at least in New York City really become that obsessive about maintaining that type of lifestyle. I guess the reason I find that disturbing is that after all it's just a show, and is that really an accurate reflection of real life. That show was so society driven. But maybe that's not what disturbs me.
The show was so superficial. Even if I were rich, I don't know if I would want that type of lifestyle. It's kinda superficial when you think about it. I know that Seinfeld had a kinda similar superficial New Yorker feel. But let's face it, on that show everyone took it as a joke and poked fun at it. Maybe that was the point of Sex and the City, but a lot people took it very seriously. Though there's one superficial thing from the show that I would love to have. Probably not much of a surprise, Carrie's shoe collection.
