The Truth is Sometimes Stranger than Fiction

I've always heard the expression the truth is often stranger than fiction. Most of the times I've heard it I've been like yeah whatever, and I'm sure most people feel the same way. Because let's face it, there are some storyline plots on tv and movies that are pretty out there. There are some movies that after you watch it, you say that's just not possible, it could never happen like that in real life. It seems especially true in action movies. I used to have this friend that I would hate going to the movies with, because afterwards he would have to painstakingly explain why it could never happen like that in real life. There was a movie that I swear it seemed like he did for every single fucking scene. I'm sure you can see how that can be pretty goddamn annoying.

Anyway about a month ago I saw the new movie Stranger Than Fiction, and ever since then I've been thinking about how there are things in life that really are stranger than fiction. Of course, I've never really had anything as exciting as an action movie. Actually I am relieved that I've never had anything that was exciting as an action movie. But there have been times, when my life seemed more like a storyline in Melrose Place. Alright maybe not one of the major plot lines, let's face it some pretty crazy stuff happened on there. There were buildings that exploded on that show and shit like that. I won't bore you with the details but there was at least one occasion, where things have happened in my life, and it seemed like I was on a sound stage for a soap opera. Only of course that everyone was totally aware of it but me. That would actually be a really cool idea for a television show though, if like the main male and female characters had no clue what was going on but everyone else did. That would make some really entertaining television, but really cruel at the same time. Like they would have to piece together the plot as they plow along. How bad would that be, if it happened in real life. Whoever is writing the plot would get some awfully bad karma, I've heard them say it can bite you in the ass.
