Sometimes It's in the Way You Think...
It's funny how sometimes when you think about relationships and what you want the first things that come to your mind is all the things that you don't want. I guess it's one of those hard habits to break. Sometimes rather than think about about what we want, we first think in our minds all the things that we don't first. I think it's something that's engrained in the American culture, it's something that we were taught to do as we were growing up. So it becomes a bad habit one that's bad to break. Like for a long time, I wouldn't say that I want to be in a relationship with some loyal, trustworthy, honest, faithful, confident, smart and funny. Instead I would state that I didn't want to be with someone that was cocky, immature, arogant, dishonest, yadda yadda yadda. And that's actually a very bad habit to get into, because you end up attracting exactly what you don't want. The bright side is at least I had enough common sense to know that it wasn't what I wanted and not get involved with anyone that wouldn't be able to give what I want. Now that I've adjusted the way I'm thinking, I'll be able to attract the right types of people.
