Look at how dogs will do anything...
For your love and affection...
Even the fussy cat...
Behaves the way they do...

If you prefer humans...
How about the goofy kid in the corner...
That's forced to sit all alone in the cafeteria...
How much they yearn...
To be loved and appreciated...
To feel special...
And when they find that special someone...
That understands them...
How they will hold on for dear life...

That's all they long for...
To be loved...
And cared for...
Maybe it would make them...
Feel a little less out of place for a change...
Like there's someone they can connect to...
On a deeper more intrinsic level...
Perhaps even soul mates...

After all how many people are there out there...
That can feel you all the way down to your very soul...
Can feel the waves of emotions that you feel...
Read your thoughts...
Hold your hand
When they aren't there...
Whisper sweet nothings in your ear...
When they aren't there...
Smell their scent...
When they aren't there...
See the way their eyes twinkle...
When they aren't there...

They are miles away...
And you know when you...
Are finally able to feel their touch...
It's only gonna feel...
That much better...
