Below the Surface...
Even though it's a little chillier out today, it's still a beautiful day. The water may not have the glistening sparkling effect it does when the sun is out, but it still is a sight to behold. Sometimes I find it hard to find the words to describe the ocean's beauty. I find it remarkably beautiful that the ocean has this uncanny ability to reflect everything that it comes in contact with. It has this never-ending capacity to reflect what it sees in others, and bring out their most beautiful characteristics. Like today the ocean was reflecting the grayness of the clouds, making their appearance more beautiful. And because the ocean did that, it became all the more beautiful. To me that's what is so beautiful about the ocean, it always puts others for itself. Like when it reflects the sun or the clouds or the sands beauty. In many ways that's what makes it so adored that it has this ability to make others shine. And by doing this, it unintentially becomes more beautiful in the process. Maybe that's the ocean's karma. Because it never intended to make the others shine to make itself look better, just because the ocean got joy by helping the others look better. To me that's just what makes me love the ocean that much more. Perhaps the ocean's beauty really is below the surface. Maybe we could all learn something from the ocean. In many ways my love for the ocean grows everyday. Everytime I look the ocean my eyes begin to sparkle, I don't have to look in a mirror to know that it's there.
